A Nœma account is optional: the app works entirely without one. If you created one, you can delete it yourself, at any time, without going through us.

From the app §

  • Open Nœma and go to the Profile tab.
  • Scroll down to "Delete my account".
  • Confirm twice. Deletion starts immediately.

This is permanent: the account cannot be restored, and the same email address can later be used to create a new, empty one.

The account and the data attached to it are erased from our servers during the operation, with no waiting period and no recovery window.

Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play purchase and gives no right to a refund: the licence stays attached to your Google account, and you can reinstall Nœma whenever you want. Nœma has no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel before deleting your account.

Without the app §

If you uninstalled Nœma or cannot sign in, email support@noemaworks.net with the subject "Delete my account" and the email address of the account concerned.

Requests are handled within 30 days at most, usually within a few days. You get an email confirmation once the deletion is done.

What gets deleted §

  • The account itself: email address, sign-in credentials, nickname, four-digit tag, profile picture.
  • Your synced journal.
  • Close circle links, invitations and blocked people.
  • The last shared location, if there was one.

What remains, and for how long §

  • Your local data stays on your phone: tasks, moods, notes, trackers, settings. It never left the device. To erase it too, go to Settings then "Reset app", or uninstall Nœma.
  • Your Health Connect data stays in Health Connect, on your phone. Nœma reads it to display it, without keeping a copy on our servers. The nights Nœma wrote into Health Connect stay there too: to remove them, use the Android Health Connect app.
  • Anonymous crash reports already sent (device model, Android version, error trace) follow the Firebase Crashlytics retention policy, 90 days maximum. They do not contain the content of your data.
  • The Théia usage counter remains: it only holds a date and a number of requests for the day, never the content of your messages, and it resets every night. It exists to prevent abuse, and the identifier it is tied to is no longer linked to any account once deletion is done.

No data is kept for commercial purposes, and nothing is sold or passed to third parties. Full details are in the privacy policy.

Erasing your data without deleting the account §

If you want to keep your account but start over:

  • Local data: Settings then "Reset app".
  • Théia's memory: Settings then "Erase Théia's memory".
  • Location sharing: turning it off erases the stored position.
  • Synced journal: to erase what is already online without deleting the account, email support@noemaworks.net.
